INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE SUPPLY OF PROCESSED (PARBOILED) RICE
Introduction
In response to growing socio-economic challenges, including inflation, and disruptions in livelihood, there is an urgent need to provide targeted food support to vulnerable populations. Parboiled rice, being a staple in the State’s diets, is a suitable and culturally acceptable food item for distribution as palliative.
Towards this objective, the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Kano State wish to call on all eligible and interested companies to apply for the supply of the commodity as indicated below:
- Supply of processed (parboiled) rice SMTB/RC-SUP/01/2025
2. SUBMISSION OF PRE-QUALIFICATION DOCUMENTS:
Interested companies should submit the following pre-qualified documents to the Office of the DPR&S/Secretary SMTB, Ministry of Agriculture & Natural Resources, No. 2 Bida Road, Off Post Office Road, Kano on or before 17th July, 2025 not later than 12:00noon.
3. THE REQUIREMENTS FOR PRE- QUALIFICATION:
A. Evidence of experience as a supplier within last 5yrs
B. Memorandum and Article of Association (Name of Directors with their addresses)
C. Organizational structure and names of key personnel with copies of CVs & certificates;
D. Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission
E. Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC) for the last 3 years;
F. Annual Turnover and audited statement of account of the company for last 3 yrs;
G. VAT registration, Evidence of Past VAT remittances & Tax Identification Number (TIN);
H. Evidence for settlement of withholding taxes due to the State; and
I. Evidence of Registration with Due Process Bureau & Kano State Works Reg. Board.
5. IMPORTANT NOTICE: –
i) Late submission of pre-qualification documents will not be entertained
ii) Only companies/contractors that are adjudged successful in the pre-qualification screening exercise shall be invited to collect tender documents upon payment of non-refundable fee of N100,000.00 payable to the Account Section of the Ministry.
iii) Application for expression of interest accompanied by the above listed documents should be forwarded in appropriately sealed envelopes boldly marked at the Top left corner: THE SUPPLY OF PROCESSED (PARBOILED) RICE: To the DPR&S/Secretary SMTB, Ministry of Agriculture & Natural Resources, No. 2 Bida Road, Off Post Office Road, Kano.
iv) This advertisement will not be a commitment on the part of Kano State Government, nor shall it entail that those that submitted documents could make claim (s) whatsoever and/or seek any indemnity from Kano State Government or its State Ministry of Health of this publication.
