INVITATION TO PREQUALIFICATION FOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION AND REHABILITATION
In line with His Excellency Governor Umar Namadi’s 12-point Agenda among which is Urban Infrastructure and Rural Transformation. The Jigawa State Ministry of Works and Transport is hereby inviting interested reputable civil engineering construction companies to submit prequalification documents for the following proposed roads construction and rehabilitation projects across the state.
A. CONSTRUCTION OF RURAL FEEDER ROADS

SCOPE OF WORK
The Scope of works includes but not limited to the following: Clearance, Filling, Construction of Drainages, Culverts, Bridges, provision of 150mm lateritic sub-base and base course on carriageway and shoulder, surface dressing/asphaltic concrete overlay, and associated Road furniture.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
1. Certificate of Incorporation with Cooperate Affairs Commission
2. Certificate true copy memorandum and article of association
3. Evidence of registration with Jigawa State Due Process and Project Monitoring Bureau.
4. Registration with Jigawa State Ministry of Commerce (Business premises)
5. Tax clearance for the last three years;
6. Audited accounts for the last one (1) year;
7. VAT Registration and Evidence of Past Remittance.
8. Evidence of financial capability and banking support.
9. Company average annual turnover of not less than N250Million for category A, N500m for category C and N2 Billion for category B,D, E and F.
10. Evidence of similar project executed (letter of award and completion certificate) at least three (3) in the last five (5) years;
11. Company’s profile including names of key professional staff registered with relevant professional bodies;
12. That the companies have fulfilled all obligations to pay taxes, pensions and social security contributions;
13. A sworn affidavit certifying as follows:
a. That the document submitted for pre-qualification exercise is not only genuine and correct.
b. That none of the directors/partner of the company has been convicted by any court of law.
c. That the company is not bankrupt.
d. That none of the officers of Jigawa State/Local government is a present or former director of the company.
e. Any other relevant information that will help in determining the company’s suitability for the work;
The Ministry reserves the right to accept or reject any application at any time without incurring any liability.
This advert shall not be construed as commitment on the part of the Jigawa State Ministry of Works nor shall it entail a company to make any claim(s) whatsoever and/or to seek any indemnity by virtue of such company having responded to this advertisement.
Method of Submission:
The Prequalification documents have to be submitted on or before 12noon Monday, 10th June 2024 to the Director Procurement, Ministry of Works and Transport, Block B, New Secretariat Complex, Dutse.
Opening Time:
The Prequalification documents are to be open immediately after the closing of the submission by 12Noon at Ministry Conference Hall.
