1. The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) has secured a facility from African Development Bank (the bank) to implements a five year Assisted Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone (SAPZ) program in partnership with the State Governments and private investors in four (4) participating states of Kaduna, Oyo, Cross River and Imo states in the first phase and intends to apply part of the agreed amount to finance payments under the contract for the consultancy services for preparation of detailed engineering design and construction supervision of the Agro-Industrial Hub in goals and Agricultural Transformation Center in Dutsen-Waii in Kaduna State of Nigeria.
2. The consultancy services is split into two phases and include:
Phase 1: Preparation of detailed engineering design planned for four (4) months period.
Phase 2: supervision of the construction of the Agro-Industrial Hub and Agricultural Transformation center planned for twenty-seven (27) months inclusive of twelve (12) months defect liability period.
The implementation of phase 2 is contingent upon satisfactory implementation of phase 1.
3. The Kaduna State Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ) program through its state project implementation unit (SPIU) now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff etc). consultants may constitute joint ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
4. Eligibility criteria, establishment of the shortlist and selection procedure shall be in accordance with the procurement policy for the Bank Group Funded operation (October 2015), which is available on the banks website at: http://www.afdb.org.en/projectsandoperations/procurement/new-procedure-policy . Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
5. Interested consultancy firms may obtain further information at the address below during the office hours of 08:00am to 04:00pm (local time: Mondays – Fridays).
6. Expression of interest must be delivered to the address below in person not later than 10th June, 2024 at 12:00 noon local time and mention “Consultancy services for preparation of detailed engineering design and supervision of the construction of the Agro-industrial Hub in Gaaiz and Agricultural Transformation centre in Dutsen-Waii in Kaduna state of Nigeria”. Late submissions will NOT be accepted.
