INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF STUDENT’S HOSTEL SHOPPING COMPLEX AND STAFF QUARTERS ON THE CAMPUS ON BUILD, OPERATE AND TRANSFER (B.O.T)
1. BACKGROUND
KolaDaisi University, Ibadan (KDU), was licensed as a Private University by the Federal Government on 10 November 2016 and commenced academic activities in January 2017.
The basic philosophy of KDU is predicated on the behalf that the central role of the university is education to produce a well-rounded person. The overarching objectives of KolaDaisi University are to:
• Encourage the advancement of learning and research;
• Create a learning environment for purpose of impacting positively on the society and;
• Nurture individuals who are professionally competent, creative and enterprising, zealous for the common good, and able to make free and ethical decisions and who thus act as positive agents of change in service to society.
The university is located at Km 18, Ibadan – Oyo Expressway on a serene, beautiful, 100- hectares parcel of land. The campus is situated in the derived savanna zone with a beautiful undulating landscape. The campus is surrounded by villages including Salako, Agede, Onidundu, Omuni etc. the campus is about 35km from the Ibadan Airport and about 130km from Lagos, the country’s commercial capital. The ancient city of Ibadan is the largest city in Sub-Saharan Africa and is a melting point of culture.
The university currently runs 27 fully accredited programmes across the facilities of applied sciences, Arts, Management and Social Sciences, Law and Basic Medical Sciences.
2. INVITATION
KolaDaisi University hereby invites interested reputable Insurance Companies, Pension Fund Administrators and Developers, to submit expression of interest for the construction of Students Hostel, Shopping complex and staff quarters on Build, operate and Transfer (B.O.T) basis on the campus University.
3. SCOPE OF WORK
Lot 1: building a 500- 1,000 beds capacity student’s hostel
Lot 2: building of shopping complex (minimum of 30-50 shops)
Lot 3: building of 100-500 units of studio apartments
• Maintenance of the building structure, including the rooms, toilets etc.
• Maintenance of surroundings, including the laws, hedges and sewage, all the year round
• Maintenance of constant water supply and all electrical systems within the buildings.
4. REQUIREMENTS
i. Certificate of company’s incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission
ii. Current Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years
iii. Evidence of company’s financial standing
iv. Evidence of capacity to complete any of the above projects within a record time.
5. OTHER TERMS AND CONDITION
Other terms and conditions of the B.O.T Model are as stated in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which shall be endorsed by both parties.
6. GENERAL INFORMATION

7. SUBMISSION
All submissions for the project(s), which should be in sealed envelope and marked “INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF STUDENTS’ HOSTEL, SHOPPING COMPLEX AND STAFF QUARTERS ON BUILD, OPERATE AND TRANSFER (B.O.T)
