INVITATION TO BID
1. PREAMBLE
The Benue State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (BERWASSA) hereby invites tenders from prequalified contractors for the construction of water and sanitation facilities in the 23 LGAs of Benue State.
2.0 SCOPE OF WORK
CONSTRUCTION OF 36 SOLAR MOTORIZED BOREHOLES (SMBHS), REHABILITATION OF 12 SOLAR MOTORIZED BOREHOLES (SMBHS) 20 BLOCKS OF SANITATION FACILITIES IN PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS (ALL DIVIDED INTO 1, 2 AND 4 LOTS) IN THE 23 LGAS OF BENUE STATE.
3.0 MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Companies interested in the project are to submit company profiles which must contain the following:
- Evidence of Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC);
- Company Tax Clearance Certificate;
- Company Tax Clearance Certificate of at least 2 directors or proprietor(s);
- Evidence of registration with the State as a contractor/supplier;
- Company’s audited financial account (indicating turnover) and funding information over the past 3 years endorsed by a firm of chartered accountants;
- Evidence of financial capability. Include copies of professional certificates with seal and endorsement;
- Company’s profile, organogram and resume of relevant key technical staff, including individual attestation of availability. Include copies of professional certificates with seal and endorsement;
- Verifiable evidence of similar projects previously undertaken, including letters of awards and Completion Certificates within the past three (3) years; indicate the financial value of these similar projects;
- Description and list of relevant equipment owned by contractor/supplier; include proof of ownership or lease or license over the equipment;
- Any additional information that will enhance the potential of the contractor/supplier.
4.0 COLLECTION AND SUBMISSION OF BID DOCUMENTS AND FIRM’S PROFILES
Interested bidders are to download and complete the tender documents and will pay a tender fee of N50,000.00 (Fifty thousand) naira for each lot of interest. The tender fee is to be paid to Benue State Rural and Sanitation Agency (BERWASSA).
Bid Information meeting will take place on Friday January 10th, 2025, at the Agency office Benue State Rural Supply and Sanitation Agency, No 179 Ahmadu Bello Way, Old GRA, Makurdi, Benue State by 10.00am.
Evidence of payment of tender fee must be submitted along with each of the lot tendered for. Completed documents which shall be in three copies (1 original and 2 photocopies) with soft copies in DVD (Containing excel spread sheet copy of the priced BoQ as well as PDF copies of other documents) are to submitted on payment of tender fee of Fifty thousand Naira (N50,000) in a sealed envelope marked with the company’s bid invitation number at the top left-hand corner, and addressed to: The General Manager, Benue State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, No 179 Ahmadu Bello Way, New GRA, Makurdi, Benue State. Sealed bids will be received at RUWASS office from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily from Tuesday 24th December, until 12. Noon Tuesday January 14th, 2025. No late Bid shall be accepted. Bid opening shall follow immediately by (12 Noon Tuesday January 7th, 2025) at the same venue. The representatives of bidders and public are invited to witness public opening of bids.

All expenses incurred in preparing “Invitation to Tender” response and all expenses otherwise associated with “Invitation to tender” responses shall be borne solely by the prospective contractor.
