A. ABOUT TEARFUND
Tearfund is an international Christian organization working across 50 countries globally. Partnering with the local church and indigenous organizations wherever possible to see change in the lives of those in greatest economic need. We believe poverty is caused by broken relationships with God, other, the environment and ourselves, and working to see those relationship restored is key to how we work. We want to see change that is economic, material, environmental and spiritual.

Our mission: we follow Jesus where the need is greatest, responding to crisis and partnering with local churches to bring restoration to those living in poverty

B. SCOPE OF REQUIRED SERVICES
We have four corporate priorities that guide and focus our work. These are
Churches & community transformation (CCT) – holistic church and community transformation through high quality facilitation, influencing, integrated programming and stronger partnership with denominations, theological institutions and church networks.
Environmental & economic sustainability (EES) – to see that the environment is safeguarded, enriched, restored and sustained in communities through a movement building and project approach to bring about influencing sustainable environmental policies and laws, practices and economic sustainability is achieved through “green job” creation involving local organization, churches and communities themselves.
Reconciled peace-filled societies (RPS) – to address the impact and the systematic causes of violence to bring about sustainable peace to individuals and communities in Nigeria.
Crisis to resilience (C2R) – effectively equip the faith actors and local humanitarian actor to take the lead in disaster crisis preparedness and response in their environment.
Prospective partners must demonstrate how their competence aligns with any of the strategic focus
C. THE PROPOSAL MUST BE SUBMITTED IN THIS FORMAT
Please read this section carefully and be sure that all requested information is included in your submission. Evaluators will neither make assumptions nor draw inferences regarding missing or incomplete information. The submission of incomplete information could result to rejections of proposals. Interested local organizations who wish to apply can request for our strategy document and partner profile form on Nigeria.partnership@tearfund.org
Below minimum required documentation to share:
• Organization profile, cover letter with registered address, functional email, telephones numbers and point of contact for the organization explaining their suitability to how they align with our strategy.
• Evidence of organization registration with corporate affairs commission, including MoU
• Tax Clearance certificate for 2021, 2022 & 2023
• Audited financial bank statement for 2021, 2022 & 2023
• Verifiable list of current partnership agreement, including international non-governmental organization
• Copy of SCUML certificates
• Evidence of membership with any of the core competence sector working group
• Reference from three (3) previous or existing partners
• Completion of partner profile form (this can be requester form Nigeria.partnership@tearfund.org not later than 5:30pm on Wednesday 31st July, 2024
D. SUBMISSION OF PROPOSAL
The subject of the submission email should clearly indicate “Nigeria Partnership”. Submission should be made in zip format. i.e. attachment of proposal requirement in section.
All copies of the document must be signed by authorized representative of the organization and submitted to designated email Nigeria.partnership@tearfund.org .
Prospective organizations must submit requests for any clarification concerning this expression of interest to Nigeria.partnership@tearfund.org not later than 6:00pm on Wednesday 31st July, 2024.
PLEASE NOTE
Insurance of this EOI in no way constitutes a commitment by Tearfund to award a partnership agreement. Tearfund reserves the right to vary any part of this EOI at the time of award if it becomes necessary.
